Definitely, at ClimateLink we not only install new units but have a comprehensive service and maintenance program as well as offering repair service for both residential and commercial HVAC equipment.

Residential

In the residential space Ducted AC systems are the most popular option in Southeast Queensland. This is followed by wall hung split air conditioners and we also install multi-split systems, bulkhead units and cassettes in residential homes.

A ducted air conditioning system is generally designed as a whole-home solution, whereas a split system is intended for individual rooms or specific areas of the home. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages depending on the property layout, lifestyle requirements, and budget.

A ducted system provides a discreet, efficient, and value-adding solution for the entire home, but does involve higher upfront costs and requires sufficient roof space pr under-floor space for all components. With the use of zoning and smart controls, ducted systems can operate very efficiently, even when conditioning only a small number of rooms.

A split system offers greater flexibility in installation and is ideal for single rooms, with lower upfront costs. However, overall efficiency decreases if multiple units are installed throughout the same home. In addition, split systems are generally considered less visually discreet compared to ducted systems.

There are many variables to an air conditioning installation, especially with a ducted AC system. Our first step is always to discuss your requirements and the home type, we can then give a price guide and gather further information with house plans, photos or a detailed site visit before drawing up an accurate quote for your new system. Our ducted system page goes into more detail on this process.

Commercial Air Conditioning Installation

The range of commercial air conditioning systems is extensive, reflecting the wide variety of building types, sizes, and uses in the commercial sector. Options include split ducted systems, packaged units, standalone wall-mounted units, and complex VRV systems—just to name a few. Because every business has unique requirements and budgets, it is important to arrange a consultation with one of our specialists before selecting the most suitable system.

When selecting a system, key considerations include the size and layout of the space, occupancy levels, and budget factors—covering both the upfront installation cost and ongoing maintenance or running expenses. In addition, it is important to assess how the system will be used, its energy efficiency, and any installation or space limitations. Finally, future flexibility, such as the ability to expand or zone the system, should also be considered to ensure the best long-term solution for your business.

Each commercial premises is unique, and ClimateLink will develop a tailored maintenance and aftercare plan. This includes regular servicing, performance checks, and prompt repairs to ensure your air conditioning system operates at peak efficiency and enjoys a longer lifespan.

Split System Air Conditioning Installation

If you need to cool one large area or a few smaller rooms, a split system air conditioner is a popular and cost-effective choice. These units are relatively straightforward to install, keeping installation costs low, and are highly efficient to run. Modern inverter split systems offer advanced technology that allows the compressor to adjust its speed based on the cooling demand. As a result, the unit only draws the power required for the current conditions, improving energy efficiency. Split systems are also available in reverse cycle models, providing both cooling and heating functions—an ideal solution for the varying temperatures we experience in South East Queensland.

A split system air conditioner—commonly the wall-mounted variety—is one of the simplest and most effective cooling solutions for both residential and commercial spaces. These systems divide the cooling process between two main components: an indoor unit and an outdoor condenser unit. The indoor unit, usually mounted on a wall, delivers cool air directly into the room, while the outdoor unit expels the heat collected during the process. A refrigerant circulates between the two units, absorbing heat from the indoor air and releasing it outside. This straightforward yet efficient design provides precise temperature control, making split systems ideal for situations where a single room or specific area needs reliable cooling.

To ensure optimum performance of your air conditioning system, it is important to regularly clean or replace the air filters to maintain proper airflow and reduce strain on the unit. The outdoor unit should be kept clear of debris, with surrounding vegetation trimmed to allow about one metre of clearance for efficient air discharge. In addition, scheduling annual professional servicing with ClimateLink is recommended to inspect the coils, clean the evaporator, and check the refrigerant cycle, ensuring any potential issues are identified early. Regular maintenance not only improves energy efficiency but also extends the lifespan of your system, providing consistent and reliable cooling year-round.

ClimateLink prioritises a swift and efficient installation process. The timeframe can vary based on factors such as the complexity of the installation, the type of unit selected and the structure of the space. Generally, a typical installation takes two to four hours. Our skilled technicians work diligently to minimise disruption to your routine, ensuring you can enjoy the benefits of your new split system promptly.

Ducted Air Conditioning Installation

A ducted air conditioning system will always provide the most comfortable and energy efficient heating and cooling for your home. As opposed to Split Systems, the ducted system ensures even distribution of air throughout your home and only 1 condenser unit can run multiple rooms offering greater efficiency than running multiple small units. With a zoned system and variable speed compressors, a ducted system will also efficiently cool only a couple of rooms in your home. This can be further enhanced by the addition of smart controllers where multiple temperature sensors are installed. A ducted system is a long-term investment increasing the value of your home as well as providing unparalleled

Ducted air conditioning systems can be configured to work with renewable energy sources like solar panels. ClimateLink’s ducted air conditioning installations are designed to be as energy efficient as possible. In Southeast Queensland with the greater requirement for cooling in summer coupled with the large amounts of sun we have, a solar system is a great way to reduce energy costs while keeping your home comfortable throughout summer.

We send out service reminder messages to our complete client database annually. With very high levels of moisture in Queensland; this leads to build-up of mould on the evaporator coil. It is crucial to complete an annual service as this ensures the most efficient operation of your system as well as ensuring drains are flowing and any operation issues are captured before becoming a costly repair.  Aside from regular professional servicing, it is imperative that return air filters are maintained clean to ensure correct air flow through the system.

The premium brand we recommend is Daikin coupled with an Advantage Air MyAir5 controller with Hisense or Samsung being the lower cost option we like to work with. The main advantages of the Daikin systems are their great build quality with great after service care with readily available technical support and spare parts if required. The Hisense and Samsung systems offer great functionality, and the operating efficiency is excellent only the build-quality is slightly lower. They are a great option for a budget friendly system, we do not work with the lower end imported systems as the after sales service is very poor.
